here we go

Calle General Vives 52. My address for the summer. This is the host home that I stayed in.

Right outside of our house, there was an elementary school nearby. Kids would play soccer and basketball every afternoon. The graffitis were very common everywhere.

It didn't take us very long to get started on our adventures in Madrid. This is our second day in Spain and we are outside Palacio Real, the royal place of Madrid.

Spanish wine is famous for its rich taste. Through the glass you can see Plaza Opera, which is one of the main plazas in Madrid.

At Real Jardin Botanico de Madrid. It is the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid. By far the biggest garden I've ever been in. Took roughly an hour and half to go through it.

A typical street in Madrid. Tight squeeze and overhanging balconies. Walking these streets really hit me that I was in Spain.

Picture of flower buds on the ground at the garden.

There were mountains right outside the city we were staying in, so we took the time to climb up for a birds eye view.

Few of us from the top of the mountain.

A typical street scene in Alcala de Henares. The old buildings were full of history and culture.

Ciguenas. These birds were special in the city of Alcala where they migrate here during the summer for the warm weather.
